I think taking photographs and seeing your work together in the same place draws out certain similarities. I seem to be pre-occupied with stripes of late. Hence, Pixie Rainbow sweater (still darning those ends in!) and this from Sarah Dallas' Vintage Knits, completed a few months ago:
..and then there are the socks I completed (well, one of them) in time for Christmas:
..see the theme emerging? Next little project is casting on for some socks in self-striping Regia! When will it end?

I really like all things stripey.Like dots too,but they take more work. ;-]
For the stripes : if you knit on a circular needle & carry yarn up the side you can avoid ends. The circ so that if the colour rows are odd you can knit a row, slide stitches back & knit again in the new colour. This explanation makes sense to me,but you made need to try it to see what I'm waffling about ! Carrying yarn up the edge works well if the stripes repeat, without too many rows between each repeat.
Happy knitting and blogging.
Posted by: Emma at April 19, 2004 06:56 PMIt looks super. I like the simple layouts too. Well done for getting it all working. I guess that makes you a fellow geek (which is a good thing) Nerd is a bad thing :-)
