"'cos you are the dancing queen...

..young and sweet, only seventeee-ee-en". Ear worm - read it on City Knitter this morning, can't stop singing it....

After a week (or more?) of technology problems, we appear to have things almost back to normal. Amazing how tetchy a person can get when you can't get online. Still, the lack of internet has led to more knitting time which means that I can show you my Noro sock - past the heel and definitely on the home run now:

Isn't she colourful? I'm a little glad she's going on my foot (inside my boot!), not sure if I'd could pull off this colourway in a sweater. The knitting is fast and easy though. Great little pattern and the weight of the wool are conspiring to knit up very quickly. I reinforced the heel using some leftovers from this sock project, it's already a boot sock, maybe now something more of a hiking-boot sock but it's soft and warm - they'll be useful in the cold weather.

Also hot off the needles this week is the front (or back) of Ava. This is fun knitting:

I haven't blocked it yet so it's a little curly round the edges. It is asymetrical, seamed to just above the elbows so hopefully should be a useful item when finished.

Any other knitting news? Well, there's always Birch, currently in her twelfth pattern repeat. What was it that Winston Churchill used to say - "K.B.O."? I am, I am...

What lovely colours are your Noro socks! Your pair is going to turn out beautiful. I've just finished my first pair of socks, they are really addictive.

Wow, great colors! Don't hide it in a boot, wear your jeans with clogs and let the colors out! (Save the Docs for later...)

I like the assymetrical line of Ava, makes it more interesting. Is knitting with ribbon difficult? Does it twist around or do you have to keep it flat?

Socks are looking great Anita ! Although I haven't had computer problems (famous last words !) I've recently tried to limit my time online because I was just getting nothing done - not just knitting but washing and ironing and boring things like that too .... come to think of it, being online a lot isn't so bad is it ??
