Knitting through it

Just a little post - no pictures to show today but progress is being made on my boob-holder (that'll help the google search statistics, along with the people who keep coming here for 'birching'!). I thought it would be a quick knit but it does seem to be taking me a little time - I suppose I am working back, fronts, and both sleeves all together. That's a lot of stitches in one row! There ought to be a knitting term for this point of the knitting - just about halfway - any suggestions?! I need to give that one some thought.....

I've cast on and worked a few chevron rows for my first Butterfly sleeve. I did jig the Noro so as to start with the colours I like best. I wanted to have cuffs in my favourite colours!

Did you know that October was American Celiac Awareness Month? Research suggests that 97% of cases in America go undetected! An article I read recently estimated that as many as 1 in 133 Americans suffer from celiac disease - that's over 2 million Americans! I have 'Coeliac' disease (as it's called in the UK) which is basically a gluten allergy and manage it by eating a restricted diet. I feel incredibly well when I eat the correct things and incredibly unwell when eating the wrong things - this week hasn't been a good week. Don't suffer in silence!

Okay, that's my exclamation mark quota used up for the month.......

its weird isnt how you think yep i will just eat it and you know its bad for you but still go ahead, i have done that so many times now, i think its just case of being really strict with yourself, right now i am just limiting myself to stir fry using soba noodles, v.nice, and gluten free cereal bars, hope you feel better soon, and i understand the pain your going through!!!

ooh - you're ahead of me :0) I just finished the second front last night and didn't have the energy to start the next bit. I will get to it though as I've not fallen out of love with this one yet !

Hope you feel better soon. Take care.

Hope you feel better soon. My mom has celiac and I know it is tough. I'm allergic to wheat products and other things. We're on restricted diets. Stay strong and keep healthy by avoiding those bad foods. I know, I know...some of them are so yummy and tempting.

Just a week ago I found out I have a group of food allergies. Started my new eating plan of a grains free and dairy free diet. Getting a lot of negitive feed back from family and people that do not understand how bad you feel with this.
I am looking for something new to do to relax and just reduce stress over all. Think about people that I knew who lived for a long time and the things they did in there life. I recalled vivid memories my greatgrandmother the avid knitter who had also worked her whole life making yarn in a wooling mill.
Searching the web I fell on to this sight under knitting - humm sometimes things work in strange ways...
