I just couldn't resist having a little play around with the Clapotis pattern. I sooo wanted to drop those stitches! I've got a few balls of Jaeger Baby Merino in a kind of mock-camoflauge colourway (greens, cream and brown), so I thought I'd give it a little go. I haven't enough to make a full-sized Clapotis - just about enough to make a two-thirds size which I see a few other people have done. Sadly, I didn't get to the dropping-stitches-bit yet, just another couple of repeats to go....
Just drop those stitches already!
I worked pretty hard on Butterfly as well over the weekend. I managed to finish off the second sleeve and make a little start on the back.

I was a little ambivalent about the colours before I started the stocking stitch but I think I love them!
Today is the first good weather day we've had here for a while and a little bit of a special day at that. We laid the first block of our new extension! A much anticipated moment, I felt a little like the Queen stepping gingerly over the mud in kitten heels to lay the inaugural stone. Actually substitute wellies for the kitten heels and standing watching while somebody else laid the block and you get more of a picture of events. Look! First no block, then one block!
Only another 1,699 blocks to go......

Posted by: froggy at January 13, 2005 02:08 AMIt's really not been the best weather to start building projects has it ? I hope yours is going okay.
I think your Butterfly colours are great. Don't let clapotis distract you if you're aiming to finish it for the end of the month !
