I have been working on Butterfly, honest. She just hasn't grown very much. It seemed like a good idea to leave the back to last - I often find I run out of knitting mojo quickly when I start with the back so I've attacked this project from the front. I'm enjoying the Noro - it's the knitting equivalent of wholegrain rice, I think. Feels healthy.
I really was keen to drop some Clapotis stitches, however, so I kept going on that for a few repeats. I can leave it now though ;o). Here's a picture of a small part of it:
Dropping stitches is naughty but nice!
I promised my oldest daugther some fingerless gloves a while back and she's starting complaining of frostbite in her fingers when she uses her PC in her bedroom so I felt I had a duty of care to cast on the gloves. I'm using the Natalya pattern from Savannahchik (see her January 13 entry). My daughter, H, is just nine-years old so I've sized it down by using Rowan 4 ply soft on 3.5mm needles. I haven't done cables for ages and forgotten how much I like the look of them in my knitting. Need to get in some practise before I start Rogue!
I guess these qualify as 'baby cables', don't they?
