The coat of many colours

Butterfly fini.JPG

Hello, my name's Anita and I'm auditioning for the musical about the bloke with the really colourful coat?

Well, it's finished at last and I really, really like it. I kept the sleeves the same length as the pattern as it was the same length as a recent trendy (for me) sweater purchase but I did shorten the collar by about two inches. I'm just not very good at managing bulk around the neckline. I did think that I had a great frog closure for the front but, when it came to looking in the sewing tin, I could only find half of it, so my flowery corsage came in useful instead.

I have to admit to being slightly surprised by the brightness of the colours . My usual knitting time is around nine o'clock in the evening and I knit by the light of one of those low output, low energy lightbulbs (aka low-lightbulbs). I'm happy with it though - whatever took me so long?!

Anita, that is stunning! It so suits you so much. I love it with the corsage, prefer it even. Oh dear I want one now, always six months behind everyone else. You've really done a brilliant job, what a trendy lady!

Stunning! I *love* the colours. I should really do something about my Butterfly, I bought the yarn ages ago and then stashed it, but you've inspired me! :)

I absolutely love it! I had no idea how wonderfull it would/could be. Just saw colourfull waves in the making proces, but now I`m thinking of making one. DId you buy the yarn in a shop (UK) or through internet? Because I would first want the see the yarn in the flesh.

congrats on job well done

You look breathtaking, well done. What everyone in the blogosphere can't see is the detail, the perfect stitching on the seams for instance.

Happy Birthday (for Sunday) my love.

Anita - you are gorgeous in that ! My hubby has a thing for redheads so I daren't show him how great you look :0)

I've decided to be brave with my Butterfly and I'm going to try fulling it as Emma suggested to make it less huge. Wish me luck !

And Happy Birthday for Sunday -you share a birthday with my Rosie who'll be 10 ( gawd do I feel old !)
