Not at all sure about this colour...

I was gripped by the need for a quick project last week and the Cropped Cardigan from Vogue Knitting Spring/ Summer 2005 came to the rescue. I used some stash DK cotton on cones which I bought ages ago (Note to self: just because yarn is on sale very, very cheap does not make it a nice colour).

So, I used up some of the cotton and because the cropped cardigan required a picot crocheted edging, I learned to crochet as well. Surprisingly, my knitting needles did not spontaneously combust whilst I was wielding a very large (size 10) crochet hook but I taught myself to do it with the aid of some books. There, I've done crochet now and will not shy away from knitting patterns requiring crocheted edgings but, frankly, one needle is just not natural.

It's really cute! I feel the same way about crochet hooks--not natural.

Like the cardi, the colour is very trndy too. Youngest daughter has a new green skirt (short)and matching bracelets. Maybe you just have to get used to it?
I don`t like the fiddling with the hook neither. But one has to sometimes :(

Actually I think it's very Springlike. Green is the new black this year isn't it? Well done on teaching yourself to crochet too, 10 out of 10!

i really like the color. it's the perfect time of year for it. it's also the type of color that will probably favor any hair color or any complexion. i think you did a fabulous job! truly!

Nice and summery colour, great to go over a little cotton dress.
