New knitting book!

Knitting Heretic.jpg

Look at what Annie sent me! Everything I've looked at so far in the book has made me think "that's such a good idea or "I can't wait to try that. There's all sorts of information about knitting techniques plus some excellent projects to try them out on (including that really cool cabled bag that is pictured on Annie's site). Plus there's a chapter about knitting with wire which, coincidentally, I have suddenly found that I absolutely must do. Very timely!

Thank you so much, Annie - I think I may yet be a knitting heretic!

I can't wait to hear what you think of this! When I learned to knit, I had no idea that I was actually knitting "combination method" - which is the style Annie uses. Let me know how the book is - I keep thinking I should get a copy.

Lucky you ! It sounds a really interesting book. I'm still thinking about the corset - I have some Jaeger 4ply silk, do you think I could adapt the gauge for this pattern ?

You know, this is really great to hear. I thought that the book was only a series of essays. Good to know that it's mosly knitting tech.

Your book looks good, will try to get a look at that.
Also the start of your beaded Butterfly looks absolutely gor-geous!

I just recently bought this book myself. It is great. Lots of good info on all forms of knitting. And all the stories and insights are good reading too.

Please tell me more about this book. I don't know anything about it but I am already beginning to suspect that I may need it!
