Truly Scrumptious

scrumptious frill.JPG

I've been knitting a little shawl in a gorgeous yarn, Scrumptious (the colour is Fiesta) from Fyberspates. Scrumptious by name and scrumptious by nature. It's 55% Blue Faced Leicester Wool and 45% Silk and it is simply divine. Beautifully soft with the cool, weighted slipperiness of silk. I knit up the simple Faux Faroese Mini Shawl pattern that comes free with the yarn from Get Knitted (did I mention that I've been to Get Knitted recently? Where does the time go?? Remind me to show my purchases sometime...)

I haven't blocked the shawl - in its current state, it is the perfect size for the BB to wear underneath her duffle coat on the way to school. (I adore duffle coats - very Paddington Bear-chic). I suspect it would grow quite a lot with blocking but maybe that's for another day.

It's beautiful, who needs to block it? BB will be thrilled with this, just think of how soft and silky it feels.
