I think I may be a convert to the whole steeking and cutting thing. Definitely not as bad as I thought it would be. The tutorials on Eunny Jang's site are very helpful and it's pretty intuitive once you get going.
I know that I am definitely a convert to working with more than one colour - I am looking at fairisle type designs with new eyes now - I have actually placed an order for another Eunny Jang design. I loved knitting this slipover and am rather bereft now that I have finished it. Still, at least I get to wear it.
Pattern: Eunny Jang's Deep V Argyle Vest
Yarn: Rowan Rowanspun DK, 2 x 50g in Goblin (shade no.736) and 2 x 50g in Snowball (shade no. 730). This yarn is now discontinued - I bought mine ages ago.
Wow, it looks great! I love the colors, and it looks awesome on you.

Posted by: Heather at February 2, 2008 05:53 PMOh it is lovely, looks perfect on you, you have done a brilliant job. I am a steeking virgin myself, so totally in your awe.
Posted by: Rebecca at February 2, 2008 08:31 PMThanks for your comment, your argyle sweater is amazing! Its beautifully knit, and the colours you've chosen are so fresh, its lovely.
I did get the first skein from Get Knitted, with two skeins of black forest malabrigo, but then they were out of stock for months so I called Stash Yarns in London and they very nicely posted me two more of the loro. I've love to make some more malabrigo stuff, but I'd rather see the colours myself first.
This is becoming a very long comment, I'll write to you on ravelry...
Amazing sweater, well done with the steeking!
Posted by: A Homely Heroine at February 2, 2008 08:59 PMIt mlooks wonderful. Now that you've developed a taste for stranded knitting you'll find there's a whole new knitting world out there, with lots of books which you've overlooked until now.
It is gorgeous. Eunny's patterns look wonderful on everyone when they are finished. One of these days i will have the nerve to try one. All of that colorwork scares me.
