...the stranded knitting bug that is. I've just received my yarn pack from Jamiesons for my next colourwork project which is going to be Autumn Rose - another Eunny Jang design. I really like her modern twist on traditional knitting. I've always admired the beautiful colours of many fairisle sweaters but I simply don't wear the boxy shapes that so many of them come in (did my fair share of loose, boxy knits in the '80s - I can't do that again). I just love this figure hugging design and know that it's something that I would wear.

My book, Simply Shetland 4 and the yarn arrived this week - I have the knitting needles lined up ready to dive in and start knitting - wish me luck!
Posted by Anita at February 7, 2008 12:52 PMThis is a lovely sweater - I was looking longingly at it just last night (I must finish Eunny's Venezia pullover before I embark on another of her sweaters). Looking forward to watching your progress on this one.
Posted by: Katie at February 7, 2008 01:03 PMWow, that is so gorgeous! I love Eunny's patterns, too. Good luck!
Posted by: Nichole D. at February 7, 2008 02:47 PMThats a very pretty sweater! I love the deep neckline and the intricate circles in the broad stripes. Good luck with the colourwork.
Posted by: A Homely Heroine at February 7, 2008 08:00 PMThat wil really suit you. It will look gorgeous on you. I look forward to seeing it, in progress and finished.
Posted by: Emma at February 8, 2008 12:30 AMYou'll really enjoy knitting this. I remember overiszed, boxy mohair jumpers, and those horrendous early Rowan designs - oversized and practially oval in shape, in super chunky yarns. I can't believe we knitted stuff like that!
Posted by: dawn at February 8, 2008 09:42 AMI have the kit to make that so I shall be looking to you as inspiration. I am still WAY too scared of steeking / getting the right tension on stranded knitting. But you did such a good job on the vest, I can only imagine this will come out perfectly. x
Posted by: Amelia at February 9, 2008 03:57 PMI really, really want to knit that jumper too - and only just managed to resist buying the kit at Ally Pally last year. The colours should really suit you; hope you have fun knitting it.
