Happy New Year

I was recently shamed by PE1AHX into electronifying my log-book. I knew it should be done really but wasn't ready to see the dxcc/sq totals that have recently reset to zero following the move to Cornwall. Having spent all day typing it in I can report that this is the picture for 2004 since activity began at the end of May.

g4lohIO70jc31122004small.JPG

All activity on 144MHz.

DXCC total 33: 7X, 9A, 9H, CT, CT3, DL, EA, EA8, EI, F, G, GD, GM, GU, GW, HG, HB, HV, I, IS, LZ, OE, OK, OM, ON, OZ, PA, S5, SP, SV, T9, YO, YU.

Squares 141.

With help from Steve G0CUH I have now got 2x16ele by I0JXX on the tower with a masthead pre-amp and filters.

I took some pictures but they are a bit dark....something to do with the thick black clouds that have been overhead for weeks now. It has also been too darned windy to put the tower up.

In the brief time I used the new antenna it does seem very good with excellent SSB echos even at moon apogee.

I'll post some pictures soon.
